Fengraskr: Rise of the Fuzzy Wonz
Fengrask: Rise of the Fuzzy Wonz
Fengrask is a strategy/puzzle game where you play as a tree that guides its sprites to
thrive in a harsh land, and defend themselves against the oncoming storm of locus!
Reference
Weapons
Chestnuts are ranged weapons that explode on impact. Effective against melee weapons
Tree bark shields are used to defend against ranged attacks.
Thorn spears are melee weapons that can get past shields
Tokens
Ranged tokens are used to grow the branch of the tree that produces chestnuts.
Shield tokens are used to grow the branch of the tree that produces treebark shields
How to Play
Gameplay is split up into two phases, Battle Phase and Colony Phase. In battle phase,
you spend weapons to capture territories. These territories give you tokens that will
grow the branches in your tree. In Colony Phase, you choose a branch of your tree to
grow weapons that will become available in the next turn.
Phase 1: Colony Phase:
In this phase you grow weapons to spend on battles in the next phase.
1. Click the Grow Weapons Button
2. Choose which weapon to grow next turn - Shields, Thorns or Chestnuts
3. Confirm your choices on this menu
4. Confirm the end of the phase to move onto the next phase
Whichever branch you choose: shield, thorn or chestnut, weapons for that branch will
be grown and made available at the start of the next turn.
Phase 2: Battle Phase
In this phase you choose a territory to try to capture. If you capture it, you'll be
rewarded with tokens that will expand the branches in your tree.
1. Choose a territory by clicking on it
2. Choose which weapons to spend on this territory
- Shields beat Chestnuts
- Chestnuts beat Thorns
- Thorns beat Shields
3. Confirm your choices. If you beat any enemies, you will be rewarded for each
enemy you beat.
Each territory will award you with tokens that will grow your tree. Shield, ranged and
melee tokens will be added as slots to their respective branches automatically at the
start of the next colony phase. Wildcard tokens can be spent on any branch, but this
hasn't been implemented yet!

I like the art and wish there was more of it to make the game look less sterile, the anime girl moths(?) are pretty cute.
I tried to understand how the game functions through reading your description but it left me rather confused since there are no tooltips and descriptions in game in order to know where to apply the information. Also, the furthest territories are unreadable even with fullscreen on a 34" monitor.
